Explore the warm and shallow underwater world of Turtle Bay at Akumal on a leisurely guided snorkel tour in search of 3 of the world’s 7 sea turtle species in our Turtles & Cenotes Tour. Turtle-sighting is guaranteed. Then journey deep into the subtropical rainforest of the Yucatan to relax, swim and snorkel in the crystal clear fresh waters of a massive “cenote”, and marvel at the thousands of spectacular stalagmites and stalactites that surround you at every turn.

 

Tour Description

• Swimming with sea turtles – After pick you up at your hotel, we will approach the Akumal bay in full snorkeling gear to go into the water, and we will swim out from the beach in search of the beautiful turtles. We will remain in the water for approximately one hour. Every day we get the chance to see around 3 different species of sea turtles.

• Underwater world great chance to swim with eagle rays – enjoy the warm waters of Akumal Bay while snorkeling around the bay in search of many interesting fish and corals. We often see eagle rays, grouper and more colorful fish.

• 2 different cenotes (underground rivers) – The next adventure is situated into the subtropical rainforest. Explore the unforgettable world of underground rivers and “cenotes”. Take an easy, guided walk through huge caverns and observe natural history dating back millions of years. Swim in the crystal clear blue waters of these unique limestone pools and relax amongst the thousands of white stalactites and stalagmites that surround you at every turn.

• Very safe trips and excellent service – Our professional guides will make sure you feel safe and ensure you have the most fascinating experience. Even if you are not such an experienced snorkeler or if you are not so comfortable swimming the guide will make your swim with turtles & cenotes experience unforgettable, they will make you feel safe, secure and adapt to your level.

• Get a picture gallery to remember this unique day – During the tour day, pictures will be taken of you while you’re snorkeling experience. At the end of the day you can buy an USB with these unforgettable moments.

• We provide high quality equipment – Full snorkeling gear will be provide, you can use for free the wet suit at our cenotes. The gear is disinfected and washed carefully every day.

• Snack at the Cenote – After the cenote snorkeling activity, we will have a buffet snack that includes: Fruits, empanadas, cereal bar and refreshments.

• Small groups – Exclusions: Groups between 10 to 12 passengers maximum, which helps us to provide a customized experience.

Itinerary

6:00 AM: Pick you up at any location in Cancun or Riviera Maya.

Pick up time: 9:00 Tulum, 7:30 Playa Del Carmen, and 6:00 Cancun.

9:30 AM: Arrive in Akumal bay for snorkel

10:30 AM: Departure from Akumal to Cenote Caracol.

10:50 AM: Guided walk through huge caverns (Cenote)

11:35 AM: Swim in the cenote.

12:20 PM: Lunch buffet at Cenote Caracol.           

1:00 PM: Getting back to hotels in Tulum.

2:00 PM: Getting back to hotels in Riviera Maya.

3:30 PM: Getting back to hotels in Cancun area
